Loose Change is an original rock band known for hook-driven songwriting, emotional depth, and unwavering commitment to philanthropy. Based in the United States and formed in 1988, we are celebrating the upcoming release of our  first full-length album in 2026 after more than three decades of creative collaboration and live performance.

Blending gritty guitars balanced with acoustic soul and poignant lyrics, our sound is rooted in classic rock, shaped by friendship, and driven by purpose.

The lineup includes:

The origins of Loose Change trace back to Elmira, NY, where John Cusimano and I first began writing songs in high school. Later, at Binghamton University, with Michael Paes, and Ross Herman, the musical roots deepened with our band Side Effects.
Outside of music, we've built careers in law, education, and cybersecurity. Yet music — and the causes we believe in — connect us. We are proud to have performed and released music in support of charitable efforts, including:

• Contributing two tracks to Tunes For The Dunes in 1990 to support U.S. troops in the Gulf War
• Releasing the emotionally charged single “Carry On” in 2011 to benefit the Fealgood Foundation, supporting 9/11 first responders
  

To date we have released 11 tracks from our upcoming debut album, which will  feature newly remastered favorites and new songs true to our signature sound. The release series began on May 1 with “Mayday” — a haunting metaphor for a crumbling relationship, delivered through evocative lyrics and a shipwrecked emotional current.
