Biography: John Fracchia

It began at the age of 15, with a mic from Radio Shack, an 8 track recorder (the kind you used to have in your car), and a couple of guitars. It was June of 1980 and John Fracchia and his bandmate, John Cusimano began the process of recording a batch of newly written songs to send to John Lennon. The goal: to get his opinion, and maybe his help. The concept was naive and the songs were raw, but seeds were planted. Sadly, Lennon never heard the tape, but the project grew into a lifelong songwriting partnership that has yielded a catalog of over 100 songs. In addition to his writing partnership with John Cusimano, Fracchia's creative interests encompass other areas. He is one half of The Bud Brothers a duo whose songwriting focuses on humor and parody, and he is also co-author of the play, "Club Hell" It's a long way from the "Lennon" project, for Loose Change's rhythm guitarist and vocalist. The equipment has changed and the writing is certainly more refined. What hasn't changed for John Fracchia, however, is the passion and joy for the craft of songwriting.
